French-American, born in Japan. Today in: GENT

Currently residing in her 55th home, Cadine Navarro’s peripatetic journey has become a resource for much of her work as artist, curator and teacher.

The core of her work questions how the boundaries between nature and culture operate. Continuously seeking the gestures, sounds, symbols and forms that embody modern boundary practices, Navarro often uses her story as a platform for collaborative work. Her recent work particularly researches how different codes of communication, whether human or non-human, alienate and define the environments we inhabit.
