Cadine Navarro’s multidisciplinary practice cross-pollinates the fields of art, science, design, and spirituality to create spaces of encounter and direct experience. The materiality of her work often finds its source in a Japanese esthetic and worldview - the country where Navarro was born and raised with French and American dual citizenship. She is interested in the stories derived from land-based cultural identity, which contain lessons embodied in ancestral knowledge and plants. The arc of her research-based practice explores models to catalyze a shift in consciousness and include community outreach and educational programs that aim to serve as an act of reciprocity and response to the damage we have to the earth.

She has an extensive international exhibition record, including at The French Embassy, The Wexner Center for the Arts, Venice Biennale, Contour Biennale, Art Brussels, and Deitch Studios New York. Publications include Publication Studio Vancouver and Rotterdam, Rowman&Littlefield, and Billebaude.

Most recently, she has undertaken independent research at M.I.T and Harvard Design School. She holds a BA in Art History from Sussex University, UK, a BFA from the Rietveld Akademie, Amsterdam, and an MFA from Goldsmiths University of London. She is a laureate of the HISK - a practice-based post-graduate research program in Belgium.
